I’m really excited about this issue. We took a little break to reassess how we were doing things after our holiday issue, and I’m happy to report that I think we’re on solid footing to keep this particular party going for at least 2 more issues after this one.
We’ve got great stories, great art, great covers…. Here’s the pitch:
This is Issue #4 of the ongoing series, with five brand new short comics, collected in a gorgeous, high quality book.
This issue includes 54 pages of surprising, sometimes dark, and sometimes very funny, genre-spanning and genre-bending stories, and you can pick up the first three issues if you missed those campaigns. That's 25+ stories and over 200 comics pages that we've done so far!
The stories were all written by members of Scott Snyder‘s writing class/workshop, which he operates through his Substack, Our Best Jackett. Many of the featured stories were written with his guidance.
And if you missed the much earlier campaigns for our predecessor, Volumes 1 & 2 of TALES FROM THE CLOAKROOM, you can still pick those up right here.
All in, that's almost 450 pages of comics, including one Eisner Award nominated story!

The editors and publisher take no profits - all money collected from pledges will cover the costs of printing, cover art, design and marketing. Should we raise more than we spent, all excess money raised will be paid directly to the creators.
Over the next four weeks I’m going to highlight each of the creators in individual posts. Veronica and I take our jobs as editors of this project very seriously, and we’re humbled that these creators allow us to help them bring their babies into the world.
